# Terms of Service

The terms on which Auto provides its services.

**Effective date:** October 21, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between OnAuto, Inc. ("Auto", "we", "us" or "our") and you, and govern your use of [on.auto](https://on.auto/), Auto Studio, the hosted Auto Runtime and the related services we provide (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you accept them for that organization and confirm that you may do so.

## The Service

Auto runs business playbooks: workflows and functions you set up to act on the data of your own business. Auto Studio manages playbooks and shows what they did. Auto Runtime executes them, on your own machine, in your own container or in our hosting. The Auto Runtime software is source-available under the [Elastic License 2.0](https://on.auto/licensing), which governs your use of that software; these Terms govern the Service we operate.

## Your account

You are responsible for your account, for keeping its credentials secret and for everything done through it. Tell us at once at [support@on.auto](mailto:support@on.auto) if you believe it has been used without your permission. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

* * *

## Connected services

A playbook can reach services you use, such as a search console, an analytics property, an advertising account, a meetings service or a messaging service, once you connect your account there. You connect each one yourself, through that service's own sign-in and consent, and you may remove the connection at any time. Auto's hosted consent service holds what the service hands back only for the minutes it takes to pass it to your runtime, as the [Privacy Policy](https://on.auto/privacy) describes, and your runtime holds the access from then on. What a connected service lets you do is governed by its own terms, and you are responsible for having the right to connect the accounts you connect.

* * *

## Your content

You own the playbooks, definitions, data and other content you bring to or create with the Service. You give us the licence we need to operate the Service for you: to store, process and display your content, and to let the people you authorize see it. We claim no other right in it. You are responsible for your content and for having the rights to it.

* * *

## Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to break the law, to infringe anyone's rights, to send unsolicited messages, to gain access you are not entitled to, to interfere with the Service or its users, or to reverse engineer the parts of the Service that are not source-available. We may suspend or end access that breaks these Terms.

* * *

## Fees

Parts of the Service are paid, as the [pricing](https://on.auto/pricing) page sets out. Fees are due as stated there, are not refundable except where the law requires it, and may change with notice of at least thirty days.

* * *

## Our rights

The Service, its name, its logo and its code other than what we publish under an open or source-available licence are ours or our licensors'. These Terms give you no right to them beyond the use they describe.

* * *

## Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change the Service, and we will tell you in advance about a change that removes something material. We may end the Service with at least ninety days' notice, during which you may export your content.

* * *

## Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including those of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. A playbook acts on your instructions and on your data, and you remain responsible for what it does and for checking its results before you rely on them.

* * *

## Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Auto is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from the Service, however caused. Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

* * *

## Indemnity

You will defend and indemnify Auto against claims arising from your content, your connected services or your use of the Service in breach of these Terms.

* * *

## Termination

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close it for a breach of these Terms, or with notice if we end the Service. On closure we delete or anonymize your content as the [Privacy Policy](https://on.auto/privacy) says. The sections on your content, our rights, the disclaimer, the limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law survive termination.

* * *

## Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and disputes are brought in the courts located there, unless the law of your country gives you rights that cannot be waived.

* * *

## Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new effective date, and tell you of material changes before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
